Fun & Sun

ALL CLASS REUNION!

July 30  - August 1, 2010

Once a Fun & Sunner, always a Fun & Sunner!   All club alumni are invited to come and share a fabulous weekend of skiing and camaraderie (and all that other Fun & Sun stuff!) at Lake McClure.  Meet up with old friends and make new ones too as the Club’s many “generations” mingle over glassy water, a BBQ dinner, and of course Shooterville.

Eight boarders behind one boat, Oct 1997

Join the Evite <add link once Cindy posts it.) to stay informed.  This is also a great way to spread the word about Reunion, so please help us reach out to as many alumni as possible, and forward the EVITE to everyone you know that has been a member in the past.

Come as an “Attached” Skier or Bo’ner*

If you have ever been a Fun & Sun member, your membership is good for this outing.  All participants will pay the current member fee of $80 for two days of skiing or boarding.   The special event fee (dinner on Saturday) should be between $15-20. Since you will be assigned somewhat randomly to two boats volunteered by other Club members, only adults can be accepted as attached skiers or boat owners.

Boat Owners – check out WOW for Boat Owners for up to date info on the perks of volunteering your boat for the weekend!

Come “Unattached”

If you already have your boat crew picked, can’t face getting on the water at 8am, or are coming with kids, this is the option for you!  You make your own arrangements for boating, and work directly with the boat owner to share the cost of boat gas and launching.  You do need to sign up in advance and pay the special event fee which covers overhead and your Saturday night dinner.

If you are a Fun & Sun Alum needing to bring kids but you don’t have a boat, let us know.  We can’t make guarantees, but we will try to connect you with compatible unattached boats that need skiers.  Of course, if you are an unattached boat looking for a crew to share expenses, let us know that too!

Equipment

The club still maintains the trailer full of vests, skis, and wakeboards for you to borrow.  There have been a number of generous donations over the last few years, so its not the same equipment you used in 1988!  Note that since the club normally serves an adult membership, the equipment is adult sizes and can only be checked out to adults.

What to Expect

For a detailed breakdown of what to expect, check out the Words of Wisdom for Skiers.  Here are a few highlights:

·  Everyone is responsible for their transportation to the lake, and their own food and beverages other than the Saturday night dinner.

·  Everyone except the attached boat owners are responsible for their own camping which is $21 per night.  The club will have all of E-Loop and F-Loop reserved for this event, and sites are first come first served (although the long flat spots need to be saved for vechicles with boats).

·  Remember your favorite duty on the Duty Roster?  Be sure to sign up early so you can help out by performing your favorite duty.

Still Undecided?

We will be using an Evite to communicate with folks about this outing and to help spread the word.  Join the Evite today to receive the latest information, and for an easy way to invite other Fun & Sunners.

So it’s been too long since you skied.   It’s just like riding a bike.
